Long time no see!

I know I haven't blogged in FOREVER... (just about LOL) but I was thinking about some topics I tend to like blogging about: makeup, fashion etc. So I figured I would write a blog entry for all my loyal blog followers who are still with me after all this time. Also hello to the new followers!

So what have I been up to? Well yesterday I went to the big city of NYC with my boyfriend, Brandon and my bff, Quincy. :) I will post some pictures soon but I am still waiting on all pics to be uploaded. There is also some video clips that need uploading and editing so I will do a seperate post about that. :)

In the world of fashion, I have been thrifting now and then lately and have been becoming a bit obsessed with fall fashion, ugly sweaters (which really aren't that ugly in my opinion) and chictopia. Please fan and friend me if you have an account there.

I have been quite lazy with my makeup lately and haven't Konaded in so long. I have misplaced my stampers yet again! I was thinking about posting outfit photos and haul photos and "things I am loving" pics to my blog. So what do you think? What would you like to see?

Some fashion and makeup type items I am lemming right now:

Susan Nichole handbags, particularly Stella and Savannah
Pacifica fragrances, especially the fruity scents such as Tuscan Blood Orange and Brazilian Mango Grapefruit.
The Urban Decay Vegan Palette: beautiful packaging, good reviews and would be my first UD palette and the only thing I own from them beside a blue eyeliner pencil (Deviant I think...)
Nubar nail polishes, most wanted are Peacock Feathers, 2010 and Purple Beach.

Great Veg and Vegan Sites!

I am going to make this a list of some of my favorite sites and blogs about vegetarian and vegan topics. I will update this regularly when I find something cool. There will be a link in the sidebar so you can always find it!

VegWeb.com:
Make a veg/vegan online recipe box and label the recipes with your own labels. If you want a Vampire category go for it! Need a category for recipes for your picky family members? You can do that too. :) If I try any recipes here and they come out great I will tell you! :)

Vegan Yum Yum:
This girl is incredible. She also has a book out. You will find a variety of delicious recipes that are very creative.

Post Punk Kitchen:
The vegan cupcake queen. Isa Chandra Moscowitz. This woman is a vegan goddess. She has several vegan cookbooks out and the site has many free recipes submitted my her and site users. Awesome! Try the Banana Bread, Pumpkin Bread or Zuchini Bread. :)

I am going to think of more and will add them as I remember them or find them. Until then have a great day.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween. My post about the history of Halloween will be this evening. :)

I think I am going to make these today!

First Attempt Sponging + news

My first ever attempt Sponging with the Konad.

Photobucket

I did these on my niece. She loved them and they looked nice I think. She went swimming the next day and they started to peel up. If anyone knows more about this and could help me improve my technique I would be grateful :) Maybe I sponged it too thickly? I have no clue. I followed the directions it came with.

The image SHOULD be clickable to make it bigger.

NEWS: I went shopping yesterday and I got this new cookbook:
Photobucket

She has a blog too so check it out.
The book has full color pics for almost every recipe I think and it was about 19 dollars. :)

I also got a new nail polish! It will get its OWN post soon :)

I also got some awesome new pants which I am going to do matching nails for soon. :)

Thanks for reading!

Update: Crafts, Reading and Goals:

I haven't written in a long time. I have been a few crafty things. I have been making potholders with loops and looms. Haven't done much knitting lately.
I have been reading a lot though. I got an Amazon Kindle as an early birthday and Christmas/Yule present. I did some research and found out the case it comes with is NOT leather OR suede despite what some of you may have heard, so the Kindle is vegan safe :)
I am currently reading Nightworld Book 1(its 3 books in one). I have a lot of classics I plan to read eventually and a few new supernatural authors I would like to explore.
I am very open-minded and if you have any suggestions or recommendations feel free to share. I want any books I have to pay for (ie not public domain) to be realitively inexpensive and/or longer books so I get a lot of reading out of them. I can read a novel that is 300-400 pages in about 4 days if it is really good.

BOOKS TO READ SOON:
Nightworld Book 1 (Currently reading as of Nov 9)
Jane Eyre
Wuthering Heights
Pride and Prejudice
War and Peace

MY GOALS FOR 2009:
Read at least 1-2 books a month
Lose some weight
exercise daily
Try 10 different vegan foods or ingredients I haven't used yet

Also I'm looking forward to 2 big things in November. My 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend and the Twilight movie.
